THE 2010 Slot Rally GB Championship

in conjunction with;

Farnham Scalextric Club, Wolverhampton Scalextric & Slot Car Club and Wye Valley Scalextric Club
are pleased to announce the 2010 Championship.

Bringing together the following Slot Rally events into one mini championship;

Wolves 'Slot Rally' - 28th March 2010 RESULTS

Wye Valley 'Summer Stages' - RESULTS

Farnham 'Slot Rally' - 12th September 2010

Wye Valley 'Winter Stages' - 7th November 2010

Each club will hold it's own event, run to a common set of rules.
Entry into the Championship costs no more than the cost of entering the individual event.
Prizes, trophies and possibly a limited edition car will be available.

The outline rules are as follows;

Rules and Regulations.

General rules.

  • 1/32 scale cars only.
  • £3.00 per car, 4 cars max.
  • Classic, 80's, S1600, Modern, Scratch and Modified are championship classes.
  • Raid, Proxy and any other classes are non championship classes, but can be run at each event.
  • Best 3 from 4 results count towards championship.
  • The same car must be used in all rounds.
  • Tyres may be cleaned between stages.
  • Chief Scrutineers decision is final.
  • Championship points will be awarded as follows for each class (points awarded to the car not the driver, for example where one driver enters more than one car in a class).


1st - 10 points

2nd - 8 points

3rd - 6 points

4th - 5 points

5th - 4 points

6th - 3 points

7th - 2 points

8th - 1 point

9th - 1 point

10th - 1 point


In the event of a draw, we will all be amazed and work out some convoluted system of placing (probably after a beer!)



General Car Regulations.

  • Traction magnets must be removed.
  • Bodies must be rigid plastic or resin no lexan.
  • Motor and bearings may be glued in.
  • Tyres can be glued to hubs.
  • Tyres are free choice but must be rubber (No silicone or Ortmans)* see raid & classic rules.
  • Chassis may be trimmed to aid body rock.
  • Weight may be added inside the vehicle, Tarn Foundry weights are allowed.
  • Screws, tyres, braids and motor wire are free choice.
General Track/stage info.

  • Stages will be made from a variety of materials including, Scalextric Classic, Scalextric Sport, SCX, Ninco Standard, Ninco Raid, Routed MDF.
  • Where possible organizers will try to make stage times similar (i.e. amend the number of laps to make all stages approx the same time).
  • Standard UK three pin (3amp) lighting sockets will be used for controllers.
  • Drivers own controllers to be used - note not all tracks are wired for use with electronic controllers - we advise against their use.
  • Each stage to be timed to 1/10th second via electronic means (Hand stop watch accepted).
Classic, 80's, Super 1600, Raid and Modern Regulations.

  • All motors, axles and wheels must be original fitting and original manufacturer.
  • No Ninco Pro race cars, SCX Pro cars or Fly racing cars.
  • 4WD cars must remain 4WD.
  • Raid cars must use tyres as supplied with RTR cars - no specials.
  • Classic cars must use tyres as supplied with RTR cars - no specials.
  • Rally GT cars are not allowed (Ferrari 360, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 997, Lotus Exige, etc).
Modified Class.

  • Wheels must be covered by body.
  • Any plastic chassis may be used including HRS and GOM.
  • Brass (or similar) chassis are not allowed.
Scratch Built Regulations.

  • Chassis must be PCS 32.
  • Vehicle must be in a rally livery.
  • 2 or more figures (driver and navigators) must be fitted.
  • Wheels must be covered by body.
  • Guide flag must be set within body (when viewed from above).
  • Body must be hard plastic, resin or fibre glass- no vac formed (interior may be vac formed)
Prizes.
  • There will be trophies for the winners in each class.
  • There will be a limited edition Rally car for entrants to buy.

Entry.

Please book your place with each event organiser as soon as possible and when you book, please advise them that you are entering the Championship.

Championship cars are now available @ £48.50 each. Limited edition of 50 only in white, gold and silver versions will be prizes for the championship winners in each class.
